We’re growing, and we want you to be a part of it. We are currently looking for a Remote 6 to 8-month contract WordPress Developer to join our team.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Software Architect, the WordPress Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining WordPress websites, including implementing new features, themes, and plugins as well as ensuring overall security and performance optimization. The role also involves collaborating with designers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of web functionalities and a superior user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain multiple WordPress websites, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and functioning optimally on both desktop and mobile platforms. This includes the responsibility to build custom plugins from scratch or significantly modify existing plugins to tailor functionalities to meet business requirements. 
  • Install, configure, and customize WordPress themes and plugins according to business requirements. 
  • Collaborate with the design and development teams to implement website changes and enhancements for both desktop and mobile versions. 
  • Perform regular backups and ensure the restoration process is functional and reliable. 
  • Monitor website performance and implement strategies to improve website speed and loading times for both desktop and mobile platforms. 
  • Optimize website content and structure for search engines and implement on-page SEO best practices for both desktop and mobile versions. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including website errors, broken links, and plugin conflicts, for both desktop and mobile platforms. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates, plugins, and trends in web development and SEO. 
  • Provide training and support to content creators, designers, and SEO specialists on WordPress usage and best practices.
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress, including themes, plugins, and customizations. 
  • Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting WordPress plugins. 
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for optimizing websites. 
  • Understanding of website performance optimization techniques to achieve fast loading times for both desktop and mobile versions. 
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
  • Experience with website backup and restoration processes. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools and a basic understanding of website analytics. 
  • Knowledge of PHP programming language is a plus.
